Blackheads - Causes And Natural Home Remedies

Blackheads are a common form of acne. It appear as tiny black dots or bumps on the skin. It is usually concentrated on nose, chin or forehead and make a person look really ugly. It is medically termed as open comedones. It is caused when excess sebum or oil secreted by sebaceous glands accumulate within hair follicle along with keratin or dead skin cells, dust and bacteria. The deposits clog the pores and get oxidized on coming in contact with pollutants in the air only to turn black in color. People of all age-group can face blackheads problem. Both men and women can develop blackheads alike. Stresses, hormonal imbalance, humidity, unclean skin surface, wearing oily make-up or cream are factors influencing the formation of blackheads.

Home Remedies for Blackheads

1. Apply a face pack made by mixing Fuller's earth and rose water, and leave on skin for an hour. This helps to remove blackheads.

2. Apply a paste of grinded radish seeds and water on blackheads, allow it to dry and then wash off. This cleanses clogged pores thoroughly.

3. Apply a coating of the mixture of almond power, fuller's earth and water to get rid of this problem.

4. Make a thick paste by mixing 1 tablespoon curd and 1 tablespoon black pepper, apply on blackheads and let it dry. Then wash off with cold water. This is an effective home remedy for blackheads.

5. Make a paste out of lime juice and crushed drumstick leaves and apply on blackheads. This removes blackheads efficiently.

6. Green tea face scrub helps to extract blackheads easily.

7. Application of a paste of fenugreek leaves and water yields good results in case of blackheads removal.

8. Apply a face pack of sandalwood powder and rose water. Let it dry and then wash off with cold water. This removes blackheads and excess oil from skin.

9. Make a paste by mixing vinegar and corn starch, allow it to dry and then wash off with warm water. This is an effective blackheads cure.

10. Crush cucumber and apply the paste on blackheads. This is a useful blackheads remedy.

11. Application of grapes pulp allows easy extraction of blackheads.

12. Make a paste by mixing cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, crushed coriander leaves and lime juice and apply on blackheads. This is an effective home remedy for blackheads removal.

13. Apply a mixture of 1 tablespoon groundnut oil and 1 tablespoon lime juice. This checks the occurrence of blackheads.

14. Dab blackheads with a solution of warm water and boric powder. This softens deposits and facilitates easy squeezing.

15. Coat blackheads with warm honey. This is a beneficial home remedy for blackheads removal.
